A tracker is a device that is connected to a vehicle (or moving object) that will be sending at least the following information:

  • latitude,
  • longitude and
  • timestamp.

A group of trackers, that you have setup to group them. For example, you can group trackers based on how are they used, or how you want to split them.

A trip is a set of tracker telemetric points that have a start and and end. The start and end endpoints are computed automatically by our system, computing trips in real-time.

We save a trip, when two consecutive points of the same tracker have a time difference of more than 5 minutes.

Basically a latitude, longitude and a timestamp for a given tracker.
